Jumpy romper for my baby

Warning! This post contains images of a gorgeous newborn baby that might put a smile on your face, prompt a desire to hug a complete stranger or make you clucky. The above mentioned newborn's romper might make you race to your sewing machine. Continue reading at your own risk ;)

This is my precious little L at the age of five weeks. How cute does she look in her first mummy made item - the Jumpy Romper by Puperita!

Here is one more photo. I am telling myself I am not posting two photos that are the same because a) L is asleep in this one, and b) the cuffs are unfolded.

The romper is designed for knit fabrics. So soft and comfy! It is also reversible.

This romper cost me next to nothing in materials. All fabrics were purchased from Spotlight. I dug the floral fabric out of a remnant bin a couple of years ago. The starry fabric I used for the lining was left after I made a sleeping bag for R about three years ago (see, fabric hoarding pays off). Ribbing was discovered on a clearance shelf two or three years ago... Yes I have been meaning to tackle my fear of sewing with knits for a looong time!

Speaking about tackling the fear of sewing with knits. This romper is very easy to make, which makes it a perfect project for someone who is anxious about sewing stretchy fabric like myself.

Awww, look at her sweet cheeks! So kissable!! I am telling myself I chose this photo to show off the buttons that happen to match the pink on the fabric perfectly.

I am obsessed with baby feet. Their little legs are always on the move! And their cute toes!! But of course I am posting this photo to show off the ribbing. It is a sewing blog after all!

Oops, I ran out of excuses to post gazillion photos of my baby! Let's just admire her while she is sleeping so peacefully!

In case you got clucky looking at my precious baby girl here is a reminder of what newborns do a lot of!

So, did you catch yourself smiling looking at the photos of the baby? You can go hug a stranger now and then get sewing ;)

  14. Still sweet. That's why we love other babies,we give them back to momma. I had two grand babies I kept at different ages. I loved them then & now, though they are 6 & almost 11. My memories will continue to be treasured.
