Uptown/Downtown dress again

Terri says it is impossible to sew only one Uptown/Downtown dress. She is right.


I didn't want my second Uptown/Downtown dress to be an exact copy of the first one. I was curious what it would look like if I followed the lines of the maxi version for a knee length dress. Well, I will not die wondering!


I made this dress from gorgeous Art Gallery knit from Bebeloush Designs. I had my eye on this print for ages. When I finally went to buy fabric, this print was sold out, so I had to wait for a few weeks before it became available again.


I don't think two Uptown/Downtown dresses is enough either. Now Autumn is here I am considering sewing another dress for cooler weather. The pattern provides enough options to make it look different every time I make it, so why not!

      Thank you Emily. it felt so nice wearing it. It got very cold very quickly, so the dress is going to be packed away until spring now :(

    It's beautiful! I really like it in knee-length - so perfect for everyday while still looking really pretty.
